1. We accept only good
dogs. Because we are dog friendly, we often have several
families staying with dogs. Consequently, we do not accept
other pets such as cats, iguanas, goats and such.
2. We charge a cleaning
fee for all pets. The fee varies between $25 and $50
depending on the number of dogs. This is a one-time cleaning
charge for the duration of your stay.
3. Dogs must be on a
leash when outside. At home this might not be a problem.
However, if is simply not fair to other guests. Please be
responsible. Use the doggie pickup bags at the office as
well.
4. It is important to
all our guests that your dog be treated for fleas. Our beach
climate is very friendly to fleas and you will have big
problems if your dog is not prepared.
5. Equally important is
the health of your dog. Dogs need their rabies shots
annually for our climate. In northern climates, owners are
used to bi-annual treatment. Distemper prevention treatments
are important as well.
6. We do not require
that you bring verification of treatments at this time;
however, this policy may change in the future.
7. We provide water
bowls, id tags, treats, pickup bags and a designated area
for exercise.
8. While sticker burrs
are everywhere at the coast, we use a special landscape
treatment and have been able to mostly eliminate them on our
property.
9. Visiting a new environment can be
stressful for dogs. It can be even more stressful to leave
your dog alone in the room. If you leave your pet
unattended, they must be in a crate or wire travel cage.
They cannot be left in the cottage or bathroom areas. The
risk to the cottages is too great. We have a lot of
experience with this; please abide by this policy, as the
charges can be high.
Dog fees are $25 for one dog, $35 for 2 or 3 and $50 for
more than 3. This is a
charge that covers the duration of your stay. (Sorry no cats)
